Construction is expected to begin on the 2023 Utility Replacement Project June 2023. The project is part of the City’s program to replace and upgrade existing water lines, sewer lines, and storm lines that are reaching the end of their useful service life, are undersized and unable to meet current requirements, or has other existing system deficiency. The following is a list of City streets, type of utility work and preliminary construction schedule for the project:

Main St. from 6th Ave S to 9th Ave S (Water & Storm)
- Replace approximately 1870 LF of existing 8-inch ductile iron and cast iron water main pipe with new 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipe. Work will also include installation of two new fire hydrants, new meter boxes, new meters and new water services throughout
Main St. and 8th Ave S (Sewer)
- Replacement of approximately 235 LF of sewer main and associated side sewer services
Maple St from 9th Ave S to 10th Ave S
- Replace approximately 710 LF of existing 8-inch concrete sewer main pipe with new 1 8-inch PVC pipe. Work will also include installation of 4 new sewer structures and new sewer services throughout
SR104/Edmonds Way
- Installation of a new sewer structure
Various CIPP locations
- Line approximately 593 LF of existing 8-inch concrete sewer main pipe and 590 LF of existing 10-inch concrete sewer main pipe
