220 Railroad Ave Edmonds, WA 98020
A new state of the art, sustainable community facility serving citizens of all ages. Operating from early until late, the Edmonds Waterfront Center is intended to become the true gathering place for young and old.
This is a public / private partnership as envisioned in the City’s Strategic Action Plan (2013), between the City of Edmonds and the Edmonds Senior Center (a 501c3 nonprofit organization). The Edmonds Senior Center (ESC) owns the Edmonds Waterfront Center and has a 55 year ground lease for the land under the building. The City of Edmonds owns the property (also designated as a Regional Park). During weekdays ESC will offer engaging programs for seniors. From 4:00pm – close. Monday-Thursday the Parks and Recreation Department will offer a range of educational and recreational programs.
The Senior Center will rent the facility on Friday nights and the weekends for events and celebrations. All the revenue will go back to the Senior Center to support its programs. No individuals or companies will profit financially from the Waterfront Center.
