One Washington Opioid Settlement

In 2022, Edmonds City Council authorized the Mayor to sign an MOU to join the One Washington Opioid Settlement, split between Washington state, counties and cities. As a term of the settlement distribution, participating parties must allocate funds towards addressing the opioid crisis and its symptoms in their communities.

The One Washington Opioid Overdose Settlement Fund provides a resource to help address the growing need for opioid recovery and prevention services in our region. Allowable uses for these funds include:

  • Treating opioid use disorder
  • Supporting people in treatment and recovery
