Edmonds Creative District Gateway Project at Anyway Park

Edmonds Creative District is developing a three- dimensional site-specific public artwork designed to be a welcoming feature in Anway Park, located adjacent to Washington State Dept. of Transportation Ferry holding lanes in downtown Edmonds. Funding is provided by ArtsWA capital grant with matching funds from Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation.

Two artists and one artist team were selected from a group of 21 applicants to develop a design concept for the project. The project's selection panel includes representatives from the Creative District Advisory Committee, Edmonds Arts Commission, Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, City Council, and an arts professional resident of Edmonds. From the three concepts, Engineered Artworks/Sean Orlando was approved by City Council to create the artwork. The project is scheduled for a summer 2025 installation.
