EDMONDS CITY LIMITS

Many "Edmonds" addresses are for properties that are actually in unincorporated areas - not within city limits. Please use the following map link to make sure the property you are interested in actually falls within the City of Edmonds. The shaded areas on the map show Edmonds city limits.

Hours:

The permit counter is open for walk-in service (no appointment necessary) M-F 8:30am to 2:00pm.  We are closed for lunch daily between 12:00pm – 1:00pm. Meetings outside of walk-in hours are available by appointment.  Phone 425-771-0220. 

Planning and Development Permit Center staff are available M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm for Telephone and Digital/Remote access.

Staff Shortages:

Due to staff shortages we will not have a Building Department Permit Coordinator available on Friday July 18th from Noon to 4:30. This will affect the following: No Building or Fire permits will be issued (beyond system generated OTC's), no contractor verifications, and phone calls/ emails will be returned on Monday.
