Omar Gamez has been a Probation Officer since 2006, previously working for the Department of Corrections (Probation & Parole) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He holds a Masters’ of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Omar is certified to facilitate Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) “How to Escape Your Prison” and Domestic Violence Moral Reconation Therapy (DV-MRT) “Bringing Peace to Relationships”. In 2020, Omar was named the Probation Officer of the year by the Washington Misdemeanant Probation Association (MPA). He currently serves as the MPA Education & Training co-chair for the Association.
