Fair housing laws prohibit discriminatory actions against applicants/residents of housing based upon a protected class* (i.e., race, color, national origin or ancestry, family with children, religion, sex (gender), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or military).

Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice
A report was conducted for Snohomish County that identifies barriers to fair housing in our community. The report, Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, or AI, includes a recommended five-year Fair Housing Action Plan to help address these barriers and improve access to housing.
