City Launches New Website

Updated, Easier-To-Use Site with Events Calendar Helps City Continue to Improve Communications

(Edmonds - WA)   The City of Edmonds launched its new and improved city website – www.edmondswa.gov - on Monday, March 23rd as part of its mission to enhance communications. After several years the previous website had become overloaded with outdated information and links, while the software platform that served as the foundation for the website had become obsolete. Not only has an up-to-date platform been used, but the new website has a fresh look and feel, with a more user-friendly interface and functionalities. read more

NEW Wildlife of Edmonds Poster

Free copies of this great new resource are available for pick up at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds. The 2-sided, folded poster, funded in part through a grant from the Hubbard Family Foundation, features photographic portraits of local species (many by local photographers), habitat information and suggestions for actions that citizens can take to help protect wildlife and watersheds.  Poster

Marina Beach Master Plan Virtual Open House-open until March 20

Please visit the Marina Beach Master Plan Virtual Open House to provide your input at http://marinabeach.publicmeeting.info through March 20. The City of Edmonds is in the process of creating a Master Plan for Marina Beach Park, which includes alternatives for daylighting Willow Creek. Open House kicks off Development Code Update

To kick off a major update of the city’s development code, an open house will be held Wednesday, March 11th between 5:30 and 7:00 pm at the Edmonds City Council Chambers. Find out more here.

Picnic Shelter Reservations Open

Picnic Shelter Reservations
Picnic Shelters can be rented from April 1 through September 30. City Park has three shelters and a gazebo, and Hickman Park has one shelter that can be reserved for your enjoyment. The cost per shelter Monday thru Thursday is $110 and $125 on Friday thru Sundays. The gazebo is $60 per reservation. Ball field reservations are $10R and $12NR per hour with a three hour maximum.  For shelter availabilty contact Edmonds Parks & Recreation at 425.771.0230 or visit shelter rental information at rentals.edmondswa.gov

facebook(Edmonds - WA)  The City of Edmonds has launched a new Facebook page as part of its ongoing effort to enhance communications with the community. The City adopted its social media policy last Fall, with the goal of launching a Facebook page in the new year. read more
