Development Services Phones 'Down' on Wednesday

Due to construction, the Development Services telephone switchboard will be out of operation on Wednesday, February 3rd. Using email will be a better option for Wednesday; all should be back to normal on Thursday.

Mayor Invites Public to Celebrate City's Purchase of Civic Field at Signing Ceremony on February 3rd

Public Event at Civic Field Celebrates Longtime Goal of Securing Field for Edmonds Community

(Edmonds, WA) – Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling is inviting the public to help celebrate the City’s purchase of Civic Field in downtown Edmonds from the Edmonds School District at a signing ceremony at Civic Field at 10am on Wednesday, February 3rd, at 250 6th Avenue North. Under a purchase and sales agreement approved by City Council and signed by Mayor Earling late last year, the City of Edmonds has agreed to purchase Civic Field for $1.9 million with the help of state and county funding. With a 50 percent matching grant from the Washington State Recreation Conservation Office for up to $1 million, and a $500,000 grant from Snohomish Conservation Futures, the City has budgeted $400,000 for the acquisition. read more

Progress Report on Edmonds Waterfront Access Study to be Presented at January 27 Open House

(Edmonds, WA) - Join City of Edmonds representatives and the Edmonds Waterfront Access study team for an open house at the Edmonds Library on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 4:30pm-7:30pm, to learn about the progress and next steps of the Edmonds Waterfront Access Study. There will be no formal presentation. Instead, participants can drop by any time between 4:30 and 7:30pm to view meeting materials and provide feedback at the Plaza Room in the Edmonds Library on 650 Main Street, or access an online open house from Jan. 25 to Feb. 12, 2016, at http://edmondswaterfrontaccess.publicmeeting.info. read more

5th Avenue South will be closed for sanitary sewer work on Tuesday, January 19th. The street closure will be between Dayton and Main Streets, but sidewalks and businesses will remain open to pedestrians. Read more here.
