Employment and Volunteer Opportunities

Rangers
"People always come up to me and tell me I've got the best job in the world."

Applications for seasonal, part-time Ranger-Naturalist positions are accepted beginning in mid-January of each year.

Under the direction of the Environmental Education Coordinator, the Ranger-Naturalists promote marine conservation by interpreting marine ecology in classrooms and on the beaches, and assist in the development and presentation of other classes and events. These efforts increase awareness and appreciation for the marine environment and Puget Sound's watershed as a whole.

In addition, Ranger-Naturalists conduct roving interpretation on the beaches during the summer months, building awareness among our community and visitors of the need for, and importance of the Marine Sanctuary along the Edmonds waterfront.
