SERVICE INTEGRITY RESPECT STEWARDSHIP
As the third most populous city in Snohomish County, our 40,000 residents enjoy one of Washington's most picturesque metropolitan areas. Located just off Interstate-5 and three miles north of Seattle, Edmonds shares the dynamics and challenges of a large city but is still recognized as one of the safest communities in the region. With scenic views of the Olympic Mountains, Edmonds offers Puget Sound access and a family friendly downtown with multiple mass transit options easily accessible by our well-traveled state highways. An innovative school district, an expanding healthcare service industry led by a new Swedish Hospital campus, a vibrant international district and a well-regarded arts community are staples of the city. Our economy is supported by five major car dealerships, mix of local and regional commerce and the most iconic burger stop in the Pacific Northwest. The 53 men and women of the Edmonds Police Department are strongly supported by our community and work hard each day to earn the trust and respect of those we serve.
Specialty assignments are a blend of local and regional assets based on the needs of our communities. We offer Detectives, Motors, K9, Traffic, Dive Team, Street Crimes, Regional SWAT, Narcotics and Civil Disturbance units. Ancillary duties include, EVOC, Firearms, Defensive tactics and Less-Lethal instructors.
