Original Concealed Pistol License Applications

As it is necessary to obtain fingerprints for original Concealed Pistol License applications we offer appointments on Wednesday afternoons.  The fee is $49.25, which includes the fee for fingerprinting.  We accept cash, checks, Visa, or Master Card.  Please contact the Edmonds Police Department at 425-771-0200 to make an appointment.

You must live within the city limits of Edmonds to apply for a Concealed Pistol License.  Many Edmonds addresses are actually within unincorporated Snohomish County. Persons living in unincorporated Snohomish County need to apply at the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office at 3000 Rockefeller, Everett. Renewal of a Concealed Pistol License

The fee for renewal of a Concealed Pistol License by the expiration date is $32.  A Concealed Pistol License may be renewed up to 90 days after the expiration date by paying a late fee. The late renewal fee is $10, making the total fee $42.  If a Concealed Pistol License is more than 90 days expired, an original application for Concealed Pistol License application will need to be completed, to include new fingerprints.

Renewal applications are accepted during normal business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Armed Forces Renewal (Out of State Deployment)

Currently deployed members of the Armed Forces, who are deployed out of state, can renew their concealed pistol license by mail. 

The fee for renewal of a Concealed Pistol License by the expiration date is $32.  A Concealed Pistol License may be renewed up to 90 days after the expiration date by paying a late fee. The late renewal fee is $10, making the total fee $42.

To renew the Concealed Pistol License in this circumstance, contact the Edmonds Police Department Records Unit at (425) 771-0200 or via email at Police.Records@Edmondswa.gov.  We will send you the application either electronically or via standard mail.  Completed applications must be submitted with a copy of your original order, designating the period of deployment, a copy of a valid government issued ID and a check payable to the City of Edmonds for the renewal fee.
