Washington State Department of Licensing Begins Collecting Transportation Benefit District Fee
Effective September 1, 2009 - On behalf of the Edmonds Transportation Benefit District, the Washington State Department of Licensing is collecting a $20 fee at the time a registered vehicle renewal notice is renewed within the City of Edmonds. The fee takes effect on license tabs that expire on or after September 1, 2009. Funds will be used for City of Edmonds street operations.

Meeting schedule

All regular Transportation Benefit District Board meetings are held at 6:30pm on the first Tuesday of February and the first Tuesday of August of each year in the City of Edmonds City Council Chambers.

The Transportation Benefit District (TBD) shall automatically dissolve on November 28, 2026.

Board members

The Transportation Benefit District Board is comprised of the current sitting City Council members.

Pursuant to RCW 36.73.020(3), the legislative authority that establishes a TBD is the governing body of the TBD. The Edmonds City Council (legislative authority) acts ex officio and independently as the TBD governing body.

Public Records Officer

The City Clerk is designated as the Public Records Officer for the TBD.  Requests for public records relating to the TBD can be made to the City Clerk using this Request for Public Records Form.
