Edmonds Shares Governor’s Award
The 2012 Governor’s Smart Communities Awards were announced on June 8
th of this year, and Snohomish County Tomorrow received a Judges’ Merit Award for “a collaboration of the County, its nineteen cities and the Tulalip Tribes on county-wide policies to guide future planning and development.”
The City of Edmonds is a member of Snohomish County Tomorrow, and Councilmember Diane Buckshnis and Planning Manager Rob Chave devoted countless hours to the 26-month-long planning effort. “I commend the work of those local governments and their partners,” Gov. Chris Gregoire said. “Their efforts are vital to our continued economic recovery and help make Washington a great state in which to live and do business.”
