The City of Edmonds plans to re-purpose existing right-of-way along Sunset Avenue between Bell Street and Caspers Street to create 2,000 feet of bicycle and pedestrian trail with unobstructed views of Puget Sound. This project will connect existing parks and trails to create recreational loops in the downtown area and non-motorized access to the ferry, transit, waterfront parks, dining, and shopping.

This project is intended to complete the downtown waterfront walkway creating a loop trail that will not only beautify the Edmonds waterfront but provide ADA access and improve safety for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and will create additional opportunities for people to come to the downtown area, enticing them to stay for longer periods of time and frequenting the local establishments.
