Our mission is to provide Edmonds' citizens with a balanced system of parks, recreation,
open space and cultural services to ensure a healthy, active, quality of life.
Walk along the award winning waterfront walkway, visiting public beaches along the way, stroll through town taking the public art tour, jump in and make a splash at the cherished outdoor Yost pool, take your dog to the Off Leash Area, go to a summer concert at downtown City Park, take a picnic and enjoy the views from our newest park, Haines Wharf.
The Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, located at the Frances Anderson Center, serves as the community's key resource for providing parks, open space, recreation programs, and cultural arts for the enjoyment of Edmonds citizens and visitors to the community. The Department plays a vital role in many aspects of community life, with staff liaisons to the Edmonds Library Board, the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board, the City's International Sister City Commission, the Planning/Parks Board, and the Edmonds Arts Commission.
