TOURISM PROMOTION AWARDS

By City Council Resolution twenty-five percent of the Lodging Tax funds received by the City are allocated to the Edmonds Arts Commission for support of cultural tourism, economic development through the arts, and promotion of local arts events. The Arts Commission annually awards funds in the form of contracts for services to promote cultural tourism. Approved projects will receive reimbursement following submission of invoices. Past contracts have been awarded to organizations including the Cascade Symphony, Driftwood Players, Edmonds in Bloom, Edmonds Historical Museum, the Jazz Connection, and Olympic Ballet Theatre. Information on this program is available in October of each year with an application deadline in November and award notifications in January.
