



The City of Edmonds Tree Board will engage, encourage and educate both the city government and residents to protect our current canopy resource and plant new trees appropriately for the long term benefit of our community.
In 2010 the Edmond City Council created a Citizens’ Tree Board by Ordinance 3807 which consists of up to seven members plus one alternate. Board members must be Edmonds residents and it is recommended that the board include citizens from throughout the city (representing different watersheds and neighborhoods). Additionally, those with professional or hobbyist interest/experience in urban forestry, horticulture, and habitat enviroscaping are preferred; these may include arborists, botanists, horticulturists, native plant experts, master gardeners, wildlife experts, and related. Board members are appointed for four-year terms.
The Tree Board normally meets monthly. The board is empowered to advise and make recommendations to the mayor and city council and, as appropriate, to the planning board and other boards or commissions of the city on such matters including (but not limited to):

Meeting Information
The board meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall on the first Thursday of each month. (Meetings are subject to change.)
