200th St. SW Road Closure

200th St SW Road Closure
Between 76th Avenue West and 80th Avenue West

(Edmonds – WA) The City’s contractor has encountered unexpected soil conditions during deep excavation for the new sewer main in 200th St SW, west of 76th Avenue as part of the City’s annual sewermain replacement project.

Due to soil conditions and public safety, 200th St SW between 76th Ave W and 80th Ave West is closed to through traffic until the new sewermain is completed, expected to be July 23, 2014. Local access will remain open to residents, first responders, mail, garbage, and recycling services for the duration of construction in that area.

City Experiencing Technology Complications

(Edmonds – WA) The City of Edmonds has been experiencing technical difficulties over the past week with their phone and email systems. Last week the city’s aging phone system went down and this week the overburdened computer servers suffered the same failure with City staff unable to send or receive emails. read more

The City's email system is back up and running. Over the next couple of months the IT Department will be making upgrades to ensure the system continues to function properly. We thank you for your patience during this time!

FREE Water Conservation Kits

The City of Edmonds is providing a limited number of free water-saver kits to its customers this year. There are two types of water-saver kits available on a first-come first-serve basis, while supplies last.  At this time there is also a limited supply of free automatic shut-off watering timer devices - for use with lawn sprinklers or drip irrigation hoses.  Click here for more information.

2015 Tourism Promotion Award Applications

2015 Tourism Promotion Awards

The City of Edmonds Arts Commission is accepting applications for the 2015 Tourism Promotion Awards program.  The objective of the program is to award contracts for services to promote arts and culture events and programs that attract audience from outside of Edmonds and contribute to cultural tourism. The funding is through a portion of the City of Edmonds Lodging Tax Fund and awards are recommended by the Edmonds Arts Commission to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee for review and final approval by City Council during the budget process.  Generally awards do not exceed $2,000 per organization. Not for profit arts and cultural organizations are eligible to apply for projects promoting arts and culture programs and events.
Applications are due June 18, 2014. Application forms are available here.
