Update on Edmonds

In March, right after City parks crew closed the Fishing Pier to the public, vandals struck. They spray-painted graffiti on a large section of the pier under the cover of darkness.

“It was the worst I have ever seen it,” said Rich Lindsay, our Parks Manager. “Almost the entire first half of the pier was tagged.” They tagged the shelter, the concrete, the railings and even benches.

Upon learning of the mess, crews immediately set out to remove it all and it was good as new again within 24 hours.

"I am so proud of our Edmonds Parks Department's quick response! They removed the weekend graffiti from the Fishing Pier within 24 hours," said Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson.
