PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - EDMONDS CITY COUNCIL   On Tuesday, October 28, 2014 the Edmonds City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the following issue:   PUBLIC HEARING AND POTENTIAL ACTION ON AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE SCHUMACHER BUILDING LOCATED AT 316 MAIN STREET, EDMONDS, WASHINGTON FOR INCLUSION ON THE EDMONDS REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES, AND DIRECTING THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO DESIGNATE THE SITE ON THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP WITH AN “HR” DESIGNATION. (FILE NO. PLN20140037).   The City Council meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Avenue North, Edmonds, Washington. At the time and place stated above, all interested parties will be heard, however, there will be a time restriction for oral comment. Written comments are welcomed prior to or at the public hearing.   If the item is continued to another date because it is not completed, or further information is needed, the date of the continuation will be announced only at the meeting. Edmonds Marsh Volunteer Planting Event

EarthCorps and Friends of Edmonds Marsh, with support from the City of Edmonds, are calling the community to help improve Edmonds Marsh habitat.  Edmonds Marsh is a unique asset to the City of Edmonds as it provides habitat for local and migrant birds and functions as a buffer that filters polluted runoff before it drains into Puget Sound. Office Hour meetings are designed to provide an opportunity for constituents to talk with the Mayor about concerns related to the City. Meetings are broken into 15 minute intervals to allow for four individual sessions within the hour. These meetings are held on the second and fourth Fridays of every month from 8 - 9 am in the Mayor's office.
