PD survival kitWe continue to have amazing support from our community. It seems like every week someone is bringing something in for us. These “Police Survival Kits” came in January. Luckily the city provides dental coverage…

On February 4th, the “South County Copsicles” took an icy plunge into Puget Sound to raise money for Special Olympics. The team was made up of about 10 Edmonds PD officers and staff. We let Mountlake Terrace PD join too!

We are selling these K9 Unit coins at the front counter of the PD. They were designed by our K9 handler in partnership with the Police Foundation. Proceeds go to the foundation to raise money for projects (like another K9).

Officer Sam

Officer Sam 2

In December we got to meet “Officer Sam”. Our K9 handler heard about Sam, his medical challenges, and how all he wants to do is be a police officer. Officer Sam had a busy first day on the job.

Officer Sam 3

Officer Sam got to meet the Chief and took his oath of office where he was sworn in as an officer.

Officer Sam 4

Officer Sam got assigned his first case. Track down “Sprinkles McClure”, renowned donut thief. To do this, he needed to follow some clues as he toured the department.
