City Council Meetings under Gubernatorial Proclamation 
At the City's annual holiday breakfast in December several employees were recognized for their service to the City. Recognitions included awards for years of service, distinguished service to the City, commendable service to the City and Employee of the year:
  • Employee of the Year Award ~ Kernen Lien
  • Distinguished Service Award ~ Mike Adams, Mark Cockrum, Nori Jacobson, Jaime Hawkins
  • Commendable Service Award ~ Debbie Johnson, Daniel Korstad
  • 25 Year Service Award ~ David Honnen
  • 20 Year Service Award ~ Huda Olsen, Jeanie McConnell
  • 15 Year Service Award ~ Michael Brown, Debra Sharp, Joshua McClure, Aaron Greenmun, Shane Hawley, Renee Garney
  • 10 Year Service Award ~ Jason Shier, Edward Sibrel

Kernen croppedEmployee of the year recipient Kernen Lien was selected for his service to the City, citizens and his peers that goes above and beyond his normal job responsibilities. Kernen has worked on some of the most complex and challenging issues faced by the City in recent years and has done this in an exemplary manner. As a Senior Planner in the Planning Division he is a tremendous asset not only to the City but to all who work with him.
