giving treeGIVING TREE – PICK A TAG

Join us between November 30 and December 11 by participating in the Giving Trees program sponsored by the City of Edmonds.  Stop by Edmonds City Hall or the Frances Anderson Center to select a tag with the name of a person in need and their gift suggestion.  Purchase a gift and return the wrapped gift to either location by December 11th.  Edmonds City Hall is located at 121 Fifth Avenue North and the Frances Anderson Center is located at 700 Main Street.

GIVE THE GIFT OF RECREATION

Need a gift idea for friends or family members? The gift of recreation is perfect for any occasion and is good for passes, classes and drop-in activities. Call Edmonds Parks & Recreation at 425.771.0230 to purchase the gift of recreation.

CELEBRATIONS OF LIGHTS

In the spirit of giving, light a light this holiday season for someone you love, something you wish for, or in remembrance of a loved one. Each light you light is a donation to the City of Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund that enables Edmonds’ children to participate in Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services programs who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. A living fir tree is strung with lights and placed at the entrance of the Frances Anderson Center. Donate $5 per light and we’ll note your donation on the main floor bulletin board of the Frances Anderson Center. The living fir tree will be lit the week of Thanksgiving through January 2. After the holidays, this tree will be planted in the interior of Yost Park. Each year the City of Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department receives numerous requests for assistance. To light a light, call 425-771-0268 and we’ll send you a form or pick up a form from the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds.
